In this blog we present the new urban ebike from the German brand, the R&M Tinker2 , a compact ebike with which you can enjoy your trips around the city comfortably and safely.
It is an improved version of the previous one basically due to the new motorization system that Bosch has released in the last year of 2023. But in addition, there are also some modifications that Riese & Müller have made in terms of components. 
As you know, the Tinker is the smallest and most compact ebike that R&M has, so for those who are looking for something comfortable and small that also has central motorization, this is your ebike. It has 20" wheels and it should be noted that it is not a folding urban electric bike. As it is not foldable, we have a more rigid frame with fewer weak points. It is an aluminum frame and this electric bike weighs about 20Kg .
As we are used to, the German brand usually assembles the best components for its electric bicycles and in the Tinker it is no wonder. We start with what we have already been explaining to you, the engine. It equips a Bosch motor that is the Performance Line with the Smart System. The battery is also new and it is a 545Wh Bosch PowerPack , it is external as you can see in the photos and its autonomy has increased compared to the previous one, which was 500Wh. And finally, in the display part, the Kiox 300 also has a very comfortable screen that will tell you all the information about your journeys and you can also connect your Smartphone.
As for the rest of the components, it is quite similar to its previous version with some small changes. As you can see, it is a compact ebike with full suspension , since we have a fork with travel and also a shock absorber post comes standard to absorb all the bumps that you can find on your journeys through the city.
It also comes standard with lights built into the battery that turn on and off with the remote control of the display by pressing the + button for a few seconds. It has lights both in front and behind, you will be able to make night journeys without problems since they are sufficiently powerful lights. 
We will now talk about the brakes, no matter how much it is an urban ebike, it has 2-piston hydraulic brakes, they are Tektro, this will give you safe and reliable braking.
Now we move on to the most important part in terms of components that this Tinker2 has. It has an automatic and intelligent change that is the Enviolo 360 . Being an automatic change, you will not notice sudden changes like on a conventional bicycle. You change gears with your fist and as we can see we have a drawing that will tell us how much travel we have left in the change. It also has a series of fenders and racks , both very important when it is an urban electric bicycle because the fenders protect you from any splashes on rainy days or that it has rained the day before and with the rack you can carry any type of load, even your children, with a maximum weight of 20 kg.
The handlebar is adjustable , it has three positions so that you can adapt it perfectly, as it is a one-size-fits-all ebike, Riese & Müller has thought of this in order to adapt the electric bike. That said, this urban electric bicycle can be carried by up to 2.00m people, no problem, it is for the public.

As for urban electric bicycles , we can say that this is the best of the best in terms of compact ebikes to ride around the city. It is very well designed, you can adapt the position as you want since it has a handlebar with three positions, you can carry a load on the rear rack of up to 20kg, so with this ebike you will not lack for anything.
Of course, being the best compact urban electric bike, the price is also high, not everyone is willing to pay so much for an urban electric bike with these characteristics. The other point against it is the issue of folding, this Tinker is not foldable, and there are many people who are looking for folding urban bikes to be able to store it inside the home or in the office without taking up too much space. It must also be said that the mid-engine makes the price go up a lot, you won't find anything cheaper than €3,000 with a mid-engine.
